Face care for every skin tone · iPhone · 18 and over

A face-care routine, from one selfie.

Glow looks at a photo of your face and tells you your skin tone, your undertone and the visible concerns it sees. Then it gives you a morning and night routine to match, and explains why each step is there.

Assessed by AI. Cosmetic guidance only, not a medical assessment. Results can vary with lighting.

How it works

Results come first. The personal notes in your routine follow a few seconds later.

  1. Step 1: Take a selfie

Use the camera, or pick a photo from your library. Daylight from a window works well. If the photo is hard to read, Glow says why and asks for another.

  2. Step 2: Read your results

Your skin tone on the Monk scale, your undertone, a colour season for style ideas, and how much of each visible concern it sees, such as visible redness or the look of dark spots. Where it is unsure, it says so.

  3. Step 3: Follow your routine

Steps for morning and night, built from over-the-counter ingredient types. Tested rules choose every step. AI only writes the wording, and it never sees your photo.

Your skin tone is a number, not a goal.

Glow places your skin tone on the Monk Skin Tone scale: ten tones, released by Google under an open licence. It uses that number only to match products and shades.

It never treats your tone as something to change, and its AI is told never to guess your race, ethnicity, age or gender.
